Prime Chapters uses manual approval and moderation, but verification is not a background check or guarantee. Trust your instincts.
Protect your information
- Never share passwords, banking PINs or one-time passwords.
- Do not send money, vouchers, cryptocurrency or gifts to someone you have only met online.
- Keep your home address and routine private until genuine trust develops.
Watch for pressure
- Be cautious when someone creates urgency, claims an emergency or asks for secrecy.
- Do not feel pressured to share contact details, private photos or meet.
- Block and report repeated unwanted contact.
Meet safely
- Meet in a busy public place and tell a trusted person where you are going.
- Arrange your own transport and keep your phone charged.
- Leave immediately if you feel uncomfortable.
Report concerns
Use the report and block features or contact a Chapter Guide. Serious threats or fraud should also be reported to the South African Police Service or the relevant financial institution.
